I had some settings on a previous installation of Photoshop, but I can't figure out how to move them to the new installation.

Typically, settings are automatically migrated when you update Photoshop to the latest version. However, you can also copy settings manually from one installation to another. See Manually copy settings.
I can't figure out how to copy presets, such as brushes, from one computer to another.

See Export and import presets.

Adobe Camera Raw lets me install presets only one at a time. How do I install or migrate Camera Raw presets all at once?

If you have the presets in the form of a ZIP file or in a folder, copy the XMP files in the contents to the following location on your computer:

  • Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw /Settings
  • Windows: C:/Users//AppData/Roaming/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settings

To migrate the presets from one computer to another, simply copy the contents of this folder from the source computer to the same location on the target computer.

I updated to the latest version of Photoshop. However, I can't find some of my the plug-ins I'd installed previously. How do I get them back?

Download the latest version of the plug-in installer from the vendor's website and install it. You'll need administrator-level privileges on your computer to install plug-ins. If you don't have the necessary privileges, contact your organization's system administrator.

See Third party plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop.

I get this error:

'There is a problem with Generator. Please quit Photoshop and try again. If the problem persists, remove any third-party plug-ins or try to reinstall Photoshop.'
