Saving a copy of your library

Please be aware that EndNote libraries require two files saved in the same location to work - .ENL library file AND the .DATA folder. Please do not rename your files using the Windows file explorer - this will corrupt your library.

  1. Highlight the references you want to include from your EndNote database.
  2. Go to File – Export.
  3. Give the file a name, leave as txt file and under output style choose RefMan (RIS) Export style (if the style isn't in the drop down list choose Select Another Style).
  4. Save the txt file.
